The Bristol 17 Campaign

Bristol heroes tell their stories of how they are working towards the Goals and challenge us all to play our part.

We are excited to have worked with 17 partner organisations across Bristol to engage a wide cross-section of people with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, or Global Goals and countdown to COP 26. The Bristol 17 campaign highlights the work of 17 local unsung heroes, nominated by community organisations, whose work for the Goals inspires us all about what is happening across the city to bring a fairer, greener future. Each hero challenges us to play a part in helping reach the Goals.

Creatives from Tusko, with input from our Young Creative Leader in Residence, have created 17 short videos, one for each of the Global Goals, which were released each week from July-October 2021, across social media platforms and our website, leading up to COP-26 in Glasgow.

We are also showcasing the work of the wonderful local nominating organisations, such as Eastside Community Trust, Bristol Energy Network, City of Sanctuary and Frank Water, who are doing so much to help reach the Goals. Together we are engaging a wider audience with the climate and inequality agendas and showing the relevance of these issues to our city and our lives, with plenty of ideas on how to make a difference where you are.
