About this resource

This is a free-to-use multimedia platform for educators and students, exploring a range of important global issues through immersive storytelling. Their award-winning films and photo essays enable educators and students to learn about social, cultural, and environmental issues from the people and communities they are directly affecting worldwide.

The stories told aim to encourage students to expand their minds through broadening their perspectives and worldviews.

Why we recommend this resource

Storytelling and visual images are powerful tools to enable young people to understand global issues, especially when told by the people directly affected by them. Taking this multi-media approach allows students to empathise and connect with the narratives and the real-life characters within the stories. This method also allows students to look at solving these pressing issues from a different angle while engaging students who may not necessarily find reading text as easy.
